Amperex 6085 is the best E80CC I heard to date. In my circuits the tube is well balanced without any midrange smearing or color added to the sonics. It is as neutral sounding as I ever heard out of this tube family.The best 12AU7 I ever heard is Brimar 13D5. The Amperex 6085 has a slight edge sonically.
