I recently acquired a fisher 500c, after listening for a few months of mostly cd input I noticed a low level, constant hum audible only during the quiet passages.
Last night when i perceived the hum, after probably 30 minutes of listening , I got out of my easy chair , turned on the over head light, and the hum went away.The hum will go away by switching the power switch off and then back on nearly instantly.
Too high of ac voltage or caps going bad?
