Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
Hello,I just noticed that my 300B tube has a tiny chip on the glass, about .5mm, the size of a pencil tip.
I think it's because the tube smacked the transformer as I was removing it from the socket.
The chip itself looks like a tiny sandblasted spot on the side of the tube, just under the widest part. I don't think it's very deep.
Should I be worried about this? Is there anything I can do to reinforce the glass at that spot?
Thanks,
KT
