hi Jeff,May be not 24 hours but at leats I play my music pretty much 15-16 hours a day... I paid the quad for about US$ 80. I hv Eh 6CA7 and EL34 which sounded flat in comparison. Got quite a few of Tesla EL34 which I think could be at par or slightly better then the Matsusita. Got a quad of KT77 which does not sound good at all, so I think the EL34 does not suit them. But usually 6550 or KT88 will sound quite good in EL34 place and I like the new TS 6550. Will try them against this new quad of EL34. I hv now enought tubes to last a long time, the problem is that I also have lots of amps to restore and try. Broke a top getter KT88 GEC in the process of pluging in and out so it kills tubes faster that way!
