Hello-I just got a matched pair of NOS Phillips Great Britain 5AR4 rectifer tubes from a tube dealer in Italy. One tube glows clear white at the bass for a mili-second when I turn on my amp and then it immediatley glows the low warm red color. My bias is stable and no fuse has blown. Everything sound fine. I have mono tube amps with (1)Bugle 12Ax7 in each amp and they both also glow clear white at start up,I was told that's normal for small european tubes to do that. Is it normal for my rectifer tube to glow white at start up?
