...have you ever tried a passive preamp in your system? Also, what other preamps have you had experience with? I am asking only to get a sense of from where you will coming when judging the new CARY. Finally, I bet it will be a lot of fun to do some tube rolling with this preamp once it gets burned in. The only problem is that it takes so darn many of the 6SN7s.
