How good are NOS GE 6AX7s?

I have about ten of them. They have the largest plate structure I've seen for a nAX7 type tube. They're gray plates and I think they're from the fifties. Are they worth rewiring the socket filament pins on my phono preamp? I am using RCA 12AX7's NOS at the input wired for 6V filament supply currently.
