If your ARC SP8 has wonder caps, then I think highly possible it is a MKII version.
One easy way for sure to tell is to open your top cover and see whether your power supply capacitors are the "can type", which is the tall standing kind of capacitors. If it is, then it is a MKI, if your big capacitors are laying flat on the circuit board, then your SP8 is a MKII.
