The e34ls is one fine set of tubes..You want to get a 7 to 9 rating for audiophile applications.I have a set thats a 3 rating and they also sound very good...The 6ca7ge should be back in production late sept according to myles.I will tell you tho you will need at least 50 to 70 hours on those E34ls and they will amaze the hell out of you..I have a set of mullard xf1s for sale on ebay right now and to be honest the midrange is a on the xf1 is a hair broader but the high end on the e34ls is much more detailed and this is on electrostatic speakers.Overall tho I would give the nod to the e34ls once they are broken in. The 6ca7ge I hope they bring the price down to a more realistic level once they move the plant over seas where labor is cheap..They are a fantastic reproduction and are more like the 6550 and 6l6gc with its their character.
