The amp may be somewhat strained, regardless of where the volume setting is. I have a 22 watt 845 SET, and I'm running it with 92 db speakers, I wouldn't try anything lower. Higher eff, speakers give you an *ease* to the music, not to mention dynamics.
comparing it to a 250W ss amp is futile.
