Don't feel too bad. Matsushita of Japan was a Dutch Philips affiliate at one time, and under a licensing agreement with Philips it produced fine tubes for audio and industrial applications until the late 1970's (These are what you bought). Except that you may have spent a couple of dollars more on each tube than you should have, I assure you that you have obtained a good stash of tubes you will find a pleasure to listen to. Regards.
