I bought some matched tubes on Audiogon for spares, and left them in their boxes after receiving them. Each tube box was marked with the tube's specs. About a month later, the seller of the tubes advertised his tube tester for sale. I bought it. After receiving the tester, I tested the unused tubes I bought from this seller. The tubes measured FAR weaker than he advertised.Moral: Buy from a trusted source, or have a way to verify that you get what you pay for.
