As I mentioned before, - I've got a lot to learn. And, - it didn't take too long to understand that there are great many options, and no two sound the same, and this process is and/or can be a long an arduous one.I certainly don't mean to be lazy here: but what I'm looking to do is:
1. Stick with Amperex NOS.
2. Find something that will tighten up the low bass, (for fast lower register kick drums and electronic bass, that will add a clearer deliniation in the different bass notes).
3. Still not sacrifice too much in soundstage/holographic imaging.I know that much of this is unique to amplifier topology, types, and individual interpretations. However, - the advice that I've gotten is a "relative" consensus that 6922 Amperex is a bit snappier than the 6DJ8.
