AJ..Thats wierd you say the citation is grainy because I have Mac mc60s which are dry on my acoustats and my martin logans and i know i need to to work on them more but I have a citation 2 with Jims mods and pio caps and its by far the best sounding amp ive ever heard on my ML monolith 2s and acoustat 2s bar none and they are capacitive load just like the quads are. The citation is very revealing as your quad speakers are and you may have this graininess comming from your preamp but if the amp is modded and done correctly it gives electrostats detail,accuracy and depth out to the street.You want to do the all the mods tho he suggests on his site or get the kit from him and rebuild it.
