Efficient? Sorry, can't say - I always use matched quads, and have had one set (KT88,EL34) each so far - no problems.Can't answer re the autobias board either - I know the Prologue 1 doesn't have the capability to utilize the different tube types, as the PII does, but don't know if that's due to differences in the autobias board, or if it's something else.
