I've run across several 7058 labeled tubes that were actually 12AX7's labeled as 7058's. Have a feeling that since the 12AX7 could be readily sub'd in a 7058 application, the more abundant in surplus 12AX7's ended up labeled as 7058's toward the end of the tube era. Not necessarily a bad thing as I found several Westinghouse labeled "7058's" that are actually RCA made 12AX7's at a couple bucks a piece that I really like.
