Re: PV-10A with Jolida 502B

64.12.116.7

I have a PV10AL, a Quicksilver linestage, an ASL 2004, a B&K and an Adcom plus a Sonograph SC22. Each will have it'd own sound quality.
The Adcom is my least favorite, and there's something about the Sonograph I've just never liked.. The Quicksilver sounds better than the PV10 when playing my turn table, but the CJ sounds better with digital playback using a DAC & transport. Yet when I hook my Jolida cd player thru the CJ and the Quicksilver, the Quicksilver has the edge. I like jazz better in the CJ, but acoustic music sounds somewhat better in the Quicksilver. Both these preamps were quieter than the ASL, and seemed to have a little more presence. Both the CJ and the Quicksilver are as shipped from the factory, but the CJ was updated at the factory three years ago (along with new tubes).
Myself I'd ditch the Jolida and find a pair of good quality monoblocks. You'll never regret that move.
