Do turn it off, if you are going out of your house for any time frame. Tube amps are unlike Solid State amps, they can burn. Anyway, don't let that bother you too much, just do the prevention.Not sure of your Scott 222C, does it has bias facility, ie pots and adjustable screws around the tubes? If your Scott doesn't have these, then it's either fixed bias or self adjust type. In any case, make sure your new tubes are matched pair or matched quad. Warm up time will be 5-10 mins before you start playing your system. The total warm up time will take at least 30-45mins, before any serious listening.
