Poly version has 5db resonance peak at 4500 ish, the paper version spreads its resonances over a broader area but most well above 5 k. Also the original was a paper based unit.

Not an enthusiast recommendation, but a sealed focused woofer that costs same as reform kit are rare to say the least.

The crossover is simple small coil on woofer and cap resistor on tweeter.

Basic basic basic, so that makes things simple. Like the look, buy new replacement drivers, need the original sound , replace surround on existing drivers.

Both entail a good deal of finger crossing for luck.
