"You Tube reviewers are how manufacturers advertise. Think about it know body is reading Stereophile magazine or Absolut sound magazine there are no brick and motor stores carrying audiophile products so if you were a manufacturer how would you advertise your new speakers you just designed and built?"And that's precisely how we should view them. Not as a worthwhile independent, impartial and educated review by someone who knows what he is talking about and has the wherewithal to properly demonstrate and compare with its competitors, but as an advertisement. Totally biased words from someone going out of his way to get as many Likes as he can - and worst still, the reviewer has no responsibility to be accurate - unlike a genuine advertisement. Ignore them!
A total waste of our time in viewing them, except for drawing our notice to a product we may not already be familiar with. If we purchase something on the strength of a Youtube video, we have no one to blame than ourselves if it doesn't match our expectations.
Stereophile may not be selling many of its magazines, but at least its reviewers know a bit about hi-fi and have the skills and other kit to be able to offer a meaningful and worthwhile opinion and test results.
