Hey, was up inmate-51 don't worry I did not forget about your speaker build. Remember in a previous post I told you I am a caregiver to my 96-year-old mother, and I have a disabled son so don't get your panties in a bunch because I am taking too long. And two weeks ago, my niece was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so needless to say I have been depressed. So be patient.
And just today I received some drivers to use in the build. So, I have four 8" Visaton bg-20 full range drivers I also have a pair of B&C DE-250 compression drivers and I am waiting on some waveguides so now all I have to do is decide on a design and then I can start building and posting your build.
I was thinking I was going to build a 3 way with a 12" bass driver the 8" full-range and the compression driver for highs. But I really want to build a hybrid transmission line using two bg-20's and the DE-250 in an MTM configuration. There are many builds online using bg-20's in transmission lines open baffle and bass reflex cabinets. And I can't build something that common it's not in my DNA.
And I have been drawing out a hybrid transmission line design that does not use the typical math a standard transmission line speaker uses but right now it's just my theory, but I am eager to put my theory to the test.
So, stay tuned it's going to happen and it's going to be fun.
