N.B.C never mentions db in any of his post, so I have no idea where you are getting that from. And if you look up what resolution means when referring to speakers you will see exactly how far off base you are db is volume and has nothing to do with resolution unless English words and definitions have changed recently, and I did not get the memo.
Funny you actually posted (There's lots of information found in audio that provides little in the way of knowledge) That is so insulting to all the audio pioneers all the engineers and all the designers that use knowledge to perfect their craft because you cannot design any piece of gear without a great deal of knowledge.
So please school me on this on all this information in the audio world that provides little in the way of knowledge. So, this is the speaker section of audio forum so you must know about speakers, or you would not be here. And I am a speaker designer so please school me on the subjects in speaker design that exist without scientific knowledge. If you do not have the ability to explain it yourself then surly you had to read about this otherwise how would you know so link me to the information.
Fact is there is absolutely nothing in audio that does not rely on scientific knowledge. There is nothing in life that does not rely on knowledge.
No need to respond you do not want to damage your reputation on audio any more than you have.
