I'm wanting to do some karaoke with friends and connect 4 microphones to a JBL Partybox 110. It has 2x 1/4" inputs and 1/8" audio in and out.
This is not to be used in a professional setting and a little signal loss is acceptable, as I'm aiming for the cheapest solution possible. Currently I just connect one microphone in with a XLR female to TRS cable.
Is it possible to connect 2x XLR mics into each 1/4" via Y cables, or is this going to sound terrible and create interference? I understand that buying a mixer is likely the the best option for sound quality and having control over the sound.
Just wondering what options I have an how to do this easily and for little money. If you have suggestions for the cables I should use, links are appreciated. Consider me a novice!
Thanks in advance :)
