General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Lately I've been ABing my 2 ways with subwoofers and find the JBL 2206\2431 has best midbass but still very good vocal clarity. My 6Nd430\TW030WA11 has best vocal clarity and good midbass. 2206\6Nd430\2431 would be best of both but only by a little and it would depend on song selection.

I'm working on an 8" two way to see if I can bridge the gap.
