If you set at sub plate amp, notes above 100 hz will be played from sub and mains will play below 70hz
If the set is done with preamp/ receiver, it could be exactly the same result depending on specific settings of the preamp
But if the preamp is a full digital device and has digital signal processing. (DSP) ,then it is possible to have the sub to not get 70.1 hz signal and the mains to get a 69.9hz signal. But not all DSP implementations are that precise
