on my Spendor S3/5s, i removed the flat metal jumper provided with the speakers (I never bi-wired) and replaced them with some wire jumpers and I am sure there is a noticeable improvement in the solidity and continuity of the mids at the crossover point.
this was recommended to me years ago but I never acted on it. i have always been one to refine what I have over dramatic changes.
