to try to get one for an "in situ" demo, so you can decide in the real room, with your favorite music and actual speakers. I have Ribbons (Ambience Superslim 1800se) and in the past decade I have tried many subwoofers with mixed results. I finally ended up with one of the best subs on the planet: the Velodyne DD15, now THAT is a great one, plenty of deep, flat and fast bass. Now, being Ribbons not so good in the bass department, a sub is a must in my case, probably not the same in your case. That's why I strongly recommend you to try one during say one week so you'll listen the difference/improvement by yourself and then decide. Most likely you'll keep it. Good luck, let us know your decision/experiences. Best, Antonio Machado.
