I'm moving into a new townhouse and going to be building a new HTPC, but looking for some suggestions as to the speakers. I don't plan on using an external receiver/amp/etc, so I need normal computer speakers (5.1 much preferred of course).
Since it is going to be a HTPC, the short cables that most computer speaker sets come with aren't adequate and am hoping to get some suggestions as to what speakers are decent quality, moderately priced (below $150 pref), and have open cable connections. That is, I can use my own speaker wire, much like you would with a normal receiver. If anyone has some suggestions, I'd appreciate it, Thanks.
