I'm setting up a system that will be built around Gallo Reference 3.1 speakers. Other building blocks are a PC-based transport outputting via optical to a Lavry DA-10 DAC.After the DAC I still haven't decided. One option is the ModWright preamp followed by Nuforce or Bel Canto monoblocks, the other is Bel Canto preamp and monoblocks. After the monoblocks (Nuforce or Bel Canto) it's on to the Gallos.
I seem to remember reading somewhere copper cables were preferred for the Gallos. Is that right? And if so what are the cable Gallo owners can recommend? I've heard good things about the Spelz anti-cables. Looking to keep the cable expenditures 'reasonable' but in line with the quality of the rest of the system I'm building.
Best,
Dave M
