I've been hassling JMR for a couple of months now about this, but he tends not to tell me anything until things are about ready to roll. Here is a paraphrase of a note I got last week, which I have also posted on my website:New JMR Emeraude, replacement for Evolution 3, due this summer...finished prototype due in May... new tweeter, neodymium magnet with a “w†shaped suspension...sounds really natural, with no harshness…using woofer from the Concorde, with a phase plug that gives incredible results in the midrange... 8 ohm system versus the Evo3 that was 4 ohms, so it should be easier to drive...
That's about it. Should hit the streets in the US for around $4900 based on what he says about the projected price for France.
