General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I've never heard or owned a pair of Klipsch speakers, but I have been offered a pair at a good price. I really have no feeling as to where these speakers stand ( or stood - if it's an old model ) in the great scheme of things.
I'd be 'upgrading' my little Mission M30i's ( I hope to move my system into a converted garage soon, further away from neighbours ).
I have heard horns in a Peavey PA speakers before and taking PA into accounut I really liked the speed/transient attack of the horn over the more common dome driver, also it's seems high sensitivity speakers sound better at lower levels....
So this would be a fuller range move for me, and perhaps more inline with a possible future valve amp/flying mole amp....
