My Dad has a set of Infinity Alpha 50 speakers. They are not quite my cup of tea and I don't particularly care for their cheap design either. He is using an Onkyo TX-SR601 receiver to push them. I found that the tweeter in the one cabinet is pretty much blown. Once I took off the mid/tweeter plate I found out how cheap these speakers really are. Once I pulled the wire off for the tweeter, it took out the whole lead to the voice coil assembly as well. I knew it needed a new tweeter for a while but still for the money he spent he could have had much better speakers. Does anyone else own a set of these? I don't like them much at all and I already placed an order with H/K for the new tweet.
