BW 703 vs Def Tech BP 7002

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I am deciding between these two for my first HT system.
BW 703+BW Center/LS/RS = $5250. Throw in a good BW sub (1600) and its 6850
DEf Tech 7002 + Center + BPv/xp = 4700. No sub required.
THe BW sounded slightly better (esp for soundstaging) when I auditioned... but am not sure it was 2K better. Also the BW was connected to a Rotel 1057 and Rtel DVD player and the Def TEchs were connected to Denon AVR 2307 and Denon 2930 DVD player.
What would you guys advise??? Please help asap!!!
