I would like to buy some nearfield monitors for my office desktop. Like everyone else in the world, apparently, I read the Absolute Sound review of the NHT M00's and placed an order for them from one of NHT's authorized online resellers. Now, a month later, it turns out, the product is so popular that there won't be any available for nearly a month to come.I will postpone my desire for musical gratification untl mid-May if there aren't good alternatives to the M00 at its very reasonable price. I have read enthusiastic reviews of other nearfield monitors by M-Audio, Genelec, Blue Sky, and other studio monitor companies, but those speakers always sound either like less accurate sound for the money or cost considerably more than the M00. However, it isn't easy to audition products like these comparatively in an environment anything like the one I plan to use mine, so I wonder about the real world experiences of other Asylum members. Has anyone here used a M00 and, if so, is it (a) worth the wait, or (b) something you've replaced because you've found better options? The source material will include a lot of MP3 and MP4 audio files, but, now that iTunes recognizes external storage, more and more .wav files. Thanks for any information you can provide.
