Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

relax. do the rubber cement thing but from

67.169.169.117

the backside.

pull the driver and using blue 3m tape seal the tear from the front so it is nice and neat.

then do the rubber cement from the back with a few layers allowing dry time in between coats.

i have also had luck on a similar cat-tear on my dynaudio drivers :( with krazy glue and a toothpick.

just a tiny bit of krazy glue to seal just the edges together.

the cat tried to jump onto the 4'tall speaker and cut the surround in 3 nice slits.

some might argue that the krazy glue wont stretch like the rubber cement but its a non-issue with such a small repair.

good luck.
