i have a set of speakers 22RH457 as on the image above, yet very little knowledge about them and (almost) no resources could be found. It is dating mid-70's and it is in a rather good shape, with somehow worn-out cones with quite fuzzy surface (seems to be paper). They are three way speakers with one passive unit each. The rubber surround (I still don't now he difference between rubber and foam surround, it feels very ruberry) seems to be in a ok shape (quite smooth with very few 'corns').I would like to restorate them, yet since my knowledge about them is little (as well as professional knowledge of speakers in general)and I've never done such thing before
I would need some good guidelines, and maybe tricks & tweaks such as re-installing the woofers for 180 degrees, using synthetics instead of wool etc. to improve the original design.by the way does anyone now any substitute for butyl latex?
thank you very much in advance.scout
