...correct sir!!I have a pair of Fried Beta signature speakers and in my younger days, I thought I could get better resolution if I replaced the electrolytic caps in the series X-over to polypropolene and the swap did not improve anything, in fact, it made it worse!!!
Not sure if the degradation has anything to do with the series X-over topology but I'm sure glad I kept all the old caps!! One of these days I'm gonna restore the X-over back to the lytics.
Swapping caps does NOT always achieve the results one may think it might as I found out.
