I am running a 5.1 system, with Definitive Technology surrounds, I believe the BP40, which blend surprisingly well with the Gallos. I was surprised at how timbrally similar they are. Unfortunately, my circle of friends do not contain audiophiles, and so I do not know anyone who has Gallo speakers, much less uses them as surrounds.I have never heard a surround system which has as its rear channels floor standing speakers. I would think this to be problematic, given that many surround effects in movies are above ear level.
A Gallo group sounds fine.
