The danger of replacing the driver is that even you know the original driver was source from Peerless, it may not be the same spec. unless the label on it is exactly the same.I have that experience before that I owned a pair of Radford speakers. One of the tweeter blown. I carefully peeled off the Radford label on the magnet and show the Peerless label underneath. I bought the Peerless tweeter for replacement and the result was terrible. The Peerless was so bright compared to the orignal Radford it seems that it was several db louder.
