I'd concur from what I've heard with music reproduction. I'm sure with the proper crossover, it has the possibility of delivering better results. It is designed as a HT sub to put out great dB at a great price. The co. does apparently have really great customer service too. I just dislike when someone makes an honest criticism (and no product is perfect vs. having the live musicians in front of you) about music reproduction that they get slammed. But that is typical of a HT forum. The avg. person there owns something like Klipsch speakers with a HT rec'r and the music source being a DVD player hooked-up via a digital input and the sound getting dragged thru the DACs piggybacked off the HT DSP. They define good sound as clean and undistorted at decent volumes so tonality, soundstaging, instrument timbre, etc. are of course audiophile myths vs. facing the truth that the system they own is designed for HT use and may do a great job at that - but that does not equate to great music playback. I had a friend who worked a high end shop and for over a 5 yr. period I did virtually all his deliveries/installs with him. I can't tell you how many demos of HT products the owners' proudly played for me (that I had to politely sit thru so we could finish and grab a couple beers and laugh) to show me how well (at least they thought so) their systems played music.
