I have a set of older ESS speakers (not Heils) that are composed of four satellites with 2 1/4" tweets and a 6" midrange, each with their own crossover network. These four, and a 12" bass reflex speaker are fed by what they call a martix module which is positioned between the amp and speakers.I would like to replace a couple of the tweets which have paper domes that are looking very suspect. Sadly, the individual speaker specs have been lost to posterity and ESS is out-o-biz. The only info I have is that the system operates at a sensitivity of 90dB and has a response accuracy of "plus/minus 3.5dB from 35 Hz through 20,000 Hz. Given that, how would I know what "value" of tweets to seek, or does one just do the best that they can?
