I've only auditioned the Boston Acoustics and was decidedly underwhelmed. We live about 2 hrs from Portland, Oregon and I'm putting together a short list of candidates so I can listen to as much as possible in one trip. I have heard the Paradigm Monitor 5's and they are a little short on the bass but otherwise very transparent. I've now added Quad 21L to the list based on some reviews and will check out the Josephs online and see if my budget can be extended in the event I get the wife unit a very nice Christmas present.
