....i drove to richmond,va this past weekend to hear the avalon 'isis' speakers at Audio Art with tim harrison as my host...to say that they are great speakers would be an understatament.they are superb...which is probably why hifi+ magazine has such a superb review in this issue ..#48..i am on a hunt for an upgrade to my current speakers and am initerested in the eidolon diamonds which tim did not have but i figured i would get an idea of what kind of speaker avalon builds by hearing the 'isis'.avalon obviously builds great speakers as the 'isis' was everything ...to my ears....that a speaker should be..great soundstage,tonality,bass,imaging,detail retrieval...granted it is not cheap..by a long shot..but if the 'eidolon diamond' is '84% as good '...it,too,should be a great speaker....if you get a chance to hear the 'isis'..it will be a great experience...the build quality is also superb.
