if you are listening close enough that the tweeters cannot integrate.the farther back you listen the more the tweeters can integrate among themselves.
i would do the array if i already had all the tweeters and make them mirror-image.
actually........what i would do is to make some quick and easy prototypes and try both before spending any real time on finished cabinets.
sounds like a fun project.
