But don't sweat it. Don't buy any resistors and you are unlikely to hurt anything no matter how loud you play it unless you want to destroy your ears. This is a motorcycle right? And it has speakers? Doesn't it get a little nosy riding down I-35 at 75 MPH passing a semi?

Not really you can hear the speakers just fine up till about 85. The HD radio also has a AVC which makes the radio louder the faster you go ;-)
