Bromberg is a versatile talent who has recorded with Dylan and Jerry Jeff Walker. You might recognize "Mr Bo Jangles" wihich Jerry Jeff wrote and Bromberg played on. Bromberg went on to put out several solo efforts, compiling a strange mixture of blues, bluegrass, and jazz. Acoustic guitarists tend to really appreciate him, though he also plays violin. The Martin Guitar Company has even recently created a unique sized M-42 David Bromberg Signature Model - the "M" size or "OOOO".Bromberg disappeared for quite some time, and settled in Deleware where he owns violin shop and has been active playing small venues with the locals there. Wilmington, DE used to be a good music scene, and Bromberg has been very involved with reviving it.
As I mentioned before, Bromberg's voice is an acquired taste - one that I never cared for until I saw hom live and appreciated him as a passionate musician. He's collaborated with countless others in the blues and blugrass genres and has turned up touring with Hot Tuna in the past year (more dates this year). I saw him again last summer, front row, at Rams Head, Baltimore alongside Hot Tuna, and he was awesome.
