because I missed the CD so much, I bougth the 2003 BMG re-issue!!!What an IMPROVEMENT over the original cd sonically!
Plus, there are 4 previously unreleased bonus tracks, two of which feature "forgotten" QUAH collaborator, the late Tom Hobson.
If you already have the QUAH cd, I would recommend that you "upgrade" to this re-issue.
If you have never heard of this record, it's well worth looking into. The material is top-notch, from beginning to end -- including some of Kaukonen's own compositions, as well as traditinal spritual and blues classics.
Kaukonen was lead guitarist of the Jefferson Airplane, founding member of Hot Tuna, and an absolutely first-rate practitioner of pop-oriented acoustic blues and gospel.
Kaukonen's more recent "Blue Country Heart" on SACD is also splendid, and a demo-quality recording soncically.
