I don't know the John Lee Hooker but the cause of action arises when the copyright infringement takes place. So if John Lee Hooker song is 30 years old, but ZZ rips it off now, hes got 3 years (?) from now to sue. Maybe 7, I don't know latest law. The suits can go on forever, damages keep accruing!!!
