From Classic Rock to Progessive to hip hop to today's hot new tunes!

I got the CD collection for the November 4th and 5th concerts at the Hollywood Bowl.... The latter date being the concert I attended.... Had great expectations, after experiencing the extraordinary recording in the latest studio Who release, "Endless Wire"....
But it was not to be.
The sound was clean, but highly compressed, with very little bottom-end extension. Unlike the studio album, it did not jog memories of when I was there. It seems like the intention was more for informational reference than for the thrill of the experience. (If nothing else, it will sound nice in a car.)
Disappointing, especially regarding the steep prices demanded for these recordings. I will check out the DVDs in a couple weeks.
