If you've kept up with Lanois hopefully you've got the recent all-instrumental "Belladonna," IMO his best solo work since "Acadie" & "For the Love of Winona.""Wrecking Ball" is great test of the bass capability of a stereo system. If the bass sounds bloated & underdamped, the problem is with the system-- not the CD.
